The Salant Foundation World Mussar Center

Nourishing the Heart and the Soul

Our Mission

Rav Yisrael Salanter is universally recognized as the father of the Mussar Movement. Mussar is the unique methodology of Jewish personal growth, which gives us the ability to refine our inner potential and achieve personal excellence. Rabbi Salanter’s uplifting teachings focus on nobility of character, integrity, and sensitivity. His pure influence profoundly impacted the Jewish world and continue to greatly enrich the spirit of Klal Yisrael.

The Salant Foundation is committed to continuing Rav Yisrael’s encouraging vision. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to integrate Mussar wisdom into  their hearts and succeed in improving their own lives as well as the lives of others around them.

We hope, with HaShem’s assistance, to continue the revolution that has already begun to change and enhance the life experience of the entire Jewish world.

The Salant Mussar Center

The Salant Foundation is excited to announce the building of a state-of-the-art Mussar Center in Israel. The innovative facility will serve as the inspirational Mussar nucleus of the world. The new building will house a special Torah learning center, a resourceful Mussar library, and a research institute. The Mussar center will present comprehensive Mussar classes, workshops,, and discussion groups. The full‐time staff will  develop effective Mussar curriculums, programming, and publications for the greater Jewish world.

With our new building, the Salant Foundation will be in the perfect position to become a vibrant Mussar center, imbued with the unique spirit of Mussar and lofty aspiration towards character development. The Salant Mussar Center will serve as a model to establish similar institutions of Torah and Mussar all over the world.

Designed by a leading Israeli architect, The Salant Mussar Center, will be 300 square meters. The center is designed  to provide students and visitors with a warm environment that inspires study, prayer, discussion, and inspiration for character development.

We are searching for five donors to donate $25,000 in order to attain the first phase of funding. We already have commitments from two people for $25,000, each. The donations can be structured in payments, in accordance with the convenience of the donor.
